A project that involves placing seismographs (or seismometers) in schools to develop a coordinated national observation network. This provides hands on opportunities for studying the science of seismology, and a large scale instrument for looking as seismological events.

Modelled on similar projects overseas, seismographs will be provided with computers to participating schools. These will be connected to and coordinated by a service maintained in the University of Auckland.
